Planting it on F-Droid and IzzyOnDroid

In June 2025, I sent PlugBrain to F-Droid.
F-Droid is a store for free and open-source Android apps. Every app there is built from its public code, so people know what they install.
The review took three weeks. On July 12, PlugBrain was accepted.
A few days later, IzzyOnDroid added it too.
These two stores did more for PlugBrain than anything else. People who care about their privacy found it there, tried it, and told others. Some opened issues. Some sent code.
For a small app with no ads and no budget, that was the best promotion I could hope for.
One worry for the future.
Google has started asking Android developers to verify their identity. It began in four countries in September 2026 and is planned for the whole world in 2027.
F-Droid has warned that this could end F-Droid as it works today, in an open letter.
I hope these stores stay open. Without them, PlugBrain might never have found its first users.
