PlugBrain started as a solution for my son

My son loved his tablet. It was the hardest thing in the house to put down.
He also struggled at school, especially with math. To him, numbers were a punishment, not a tool.
So I put the two problems together. What if the way back to his tablet went through a few simple sums?
I looked for an app that did this. I didn’t find one that fit.
So I built my own. Pick the apps to lock. When one opens, a math problem appears. Solve it, and the app is yours again.
The first problems were easy, like 4 + 3 or 9 − 5. I wanted him to win.
Something shifted. Math stopped being homework and became a key. He was doing sums every day, without anyone asking.
I didn’t need to ban the tablet. I needed to change what it asked of him.
That small app later became PlugBrain.
